~ Lost Wax Casting ~

2 Day Workshop: Feb. 9^th & 10^th, 2013.   10am-5pm

In this workshop we learned techniques of sprueing our carved waxes, investing in plaster molds, burn out and metal casting!  Everyone was successful using the centrifugal casting process and came out with delightful finished products, ready for finishing (polishing, stone setting ~ future workshops!)

All tools and materials supplied by The Alcademy! 

Jerry Gehringer's extensive experience in metal working offers the old tyme secrets of this craft.
